SlipFittm is where natural design meets the rhythm of real work—modular, grounded, and built to adapt.

Hello, I’m Rebecca
I have created many types of jewelry over the years and I loved making it all. However, I have finally chosen to narrow my focus on that which brings me joy; Jewelry that speaks to the soul. The medium I chose to focus on is called Metal Clay and it comes in a variety of materials. Having worked with this product since 2008, I became aware of a lack of proper organizational products. Through working with my husband, we have created a new and innovative line of products called SlipFittm to organize your workspace!
Before I chose this path, I worked many years in retail, raised a family, and eventually worked in higher education, where I received my BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Sustainability. I believe very strongly in maintaining an environment that is inclusive with all living beings. I am a Holy Fire Reiki Master which has allowed me to become even closer to spirit and self.

The Story
Behind
Our Name

I chose the name Basilla Rose in homage to my grandmothers. My paternal grandmother lived with us when I was a small child and I spent many hours of my childhood with her. I have come to realize that I bonded with her as my ‘mother’. I looked up to her and thought of her as my female role model.
Unfortunately, she was a very old grandma and passed away at the age of 84, I was only 8. I firmly believe that I gained a great internal strength during the years I spent with her. She lived with malignant melanoma for 40 years – when she was diagnosed she was given 6 months to live.

My maternal grandmother was a very sweet, gentle and kind woman. She also had an inner strength of steel. She relocated from Ukraine at a young age, lived in Shanghai with her mother and sisters and then met my grandfather during WWl. I saw her often and was able to bond with her during our lives until her passing in ‘98.
So, when I think about the great women in my life and how I want to carry myself in this world, how I want to be present for you, my beautiful fellow spirits – it is with the strength and grace of my grandmothers.
“So shines a good deed in a weary world.”
– Willy Wonka

The Origin Story
I have always been a creative person and this manifested at a young age. I made ‘jewelry’ for my Breyer horses and Barbies. I carried this passion into my young adulthood and began stringing jewelry with stones, bones, and any natural items I could find. Years later, I began taking wire wrapping classes, chain maille and eventually certifications in metal clay.
My first official class was using PMC through a certification program hosted by Rio Grande Jewelry supply, with Terry Kolvacik as the instructor. What an eye opening experience that was where I learned I could create amazing jewelry without all the years of learning to be a metal smith! Since that beginning class I have become Level III certified in PMC. I loved the medium so much that I then took a crossover certification with Art Clay Silver, another reclaimed silver company. I have completed a Master certification in Art Clay Silver and am working on an Accreditation program in Base Metal clay. What a wonderful world it is that I live in!
I have always been a spiritual person and was raised with a Metaphysical background. It is natural, therefore, that I pursued the path to become a Holy Fire Reiki Master and spiritual healer; something that is very much needed in our world today. I suffuse all of my work – be it painting, modeling, jewelry, or my new line of organizational storage – with Reiki and positive energy.
SlipFittm – Designed by makers for makers
SlipFittm is rooted in a deep respect for natural systems and the environments we create in. The hex pattern at the heart of the design reflects forms found throughout nature—honeycombs, crystal structures, and repeating geometries that balance strength with efficiency. These shapes informed not only the modular function of the system, but also the feeling it brings to a workspace: calm, intentional, and connected. The restrained color palette and natural wood tones were chosen to echo the earth rather than compete with it, allowing the maker’s materials and creativity to take center stage. Every design choice was made with the belief that the tools and systems we surround ourselves with should support focus, flow, and a meaningful connection to the act of making a system that respects the rhythm of work, the environment it lives in, and the hands that use it.
Designed specifically for the metal clay community, SlipFittm performs as a natural extension of the workbench. Each piece is modular, stable, and purpose-driven, keeping tools organized, visible, and within easy reach without disrupting the rhythm of work. Components nest and align intuitively, adapting as a project evolves rather than forcing a fixed layout. While metal clay was the inspiration, the system seamlessly crosses into other creative fields—jewelry fabrication, mixed media, printmaking, ceramics, and beyond—anywhere precision and thoughtful organization matter. SlipFit isn’t just storage; it’s a functional landscape that supports the way makers work, move, and create.
